-Özvar: “The aim is to monitor and evaluate the development of each university in line with its mission and vision according to the criteria set."-

In the "Presentation" of the "General Report on University Monitoring and Evaluation-2023", Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education, stated the following: "This study reveals the strengths and weaknesses of universities according to the standards set by considering the unique conditions of our country. The primary objective is to monitor and evaluate the development of each university in line with its mission and vision according to the criteria set. Our main goal is to identify and support the aspects of universities that are open to improvement instead of making a hierarchical evaluation. We observe that our higher education institutions carry out meticulous work through monitoring and evaluation units based on the indicators identified. We believe that these efforts will make a significant contribution to the data-based decision-making processes of institutions and we are pleased that this process is being carefully followed by universities."

Uşak University in the top 5 in two categories

Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş stated that it is a matter of pride that Uşak University ranked in the top 5 in two categories in the "University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report-2023" prepared by YÖK. Rector Savaş said, "On this path that we set out with the slogan “Its Name is a City, Its Goal is the World”, our university became one of the 3 universities with the Best Development and ranked in the top 4 in the list of 'Distribution of Universities According to the Number of Academic Staff Participating in International Exchange Programs'. We are always working to make our country's name known in science, art, education and technology. It is pleasing to see that our efforts to provide good education to our students and to make the name of our country known in the international arena are evaluated in this way. We have been developing our international university network every year since 2018 in order for the scientists of our country to closely follow and contribute to the studies carried out in the world in their fields. We develop projects together with scientists around the world and achieve significant successes. As Uşak University, we will continue to work for the development of our country and its progress in science, technology, industry and art."

Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş emphasized that the 'University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report-2023' published by YÖK is a guide for higher education institutions and a publication that will take the work done by universities further from the point where they are located, and thanked the President of YÖK Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, YÖK Members and everyone who contributed to the preparation of the report.
