An emergency evacuation drill with a scenario was conducted on Friday, August 1st at the Rectorate building and the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center, coordinated by Uşak University's Occupational Health and Safety Coordination Office, the Uşak University Disaster Emergency Search and Rescue Unit (UÜ-AKUB), the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, and the Construction and Technical Affairs Department, to prepare for potential emergency situations.


Uşak University Demonstrated Its Readiness for Emergencies
The drill started at 10:30 AM. In accordance with the scenario, personnel inside the buildings were evacuated in a controlled manner under the guidance of the assigned staff. The drill was successfully carried out with the aim of enhancing the university’s capacity to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations. The evacuated personnel gathered at the assembly area of Uşak University’s Bir Eylül Campus. There, attendance was taken by the Disaster Emergency Search and Rescue Unit staff, and necessary information was provided. A total of 200 personnel participated in the drill.

In the evaluation conducted at the end of the drill, it was observed that personnel acted in accordance with evacuation protocols and the buildings were evacuated within the targeted time frame. The university administration emphasized the importance of such exercises for maintaining a safe working environment.
