Supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports as part of the ÜNİDES project and implemented in collaboration with the Public Administration Society of Uşak University, the ‘Journey from Campus to Parliament’ project brought students together with Turkey's most important decision-making mechanisms.

Under the leadership of Project Coordinator Yağmur Baş Dahın, students had the opportunity to observe the operations of institutions such as the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the Ministry of Youth and Sports firsthand, thereby reinforcing their theoretical knowledge of public administration with practical experience.

Applied Public Administration Education
The project aims to enable students studying public administration at Uşak University to gain first-hand knowledge of the legislative and executive branches of government. Through observations of sessions and committee work under the auspices of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, students gained a deeper understanding of democratic governance and political decision-making processes.
During the visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, participants witnessed the process of shaping youth policies and had the opportunity to learn firsthand how public policies are implemented in practice.

“From Theory to Practice, From Campus to Parliament”

Project Coordinator Yağmur Baş Dahın stated that such practical projects have a powerful impact on students, saying, “The Journey from Campus to Parliament project is not just a spatial visit; it is also an experience where young people discover themselves and touch the heart of public administration. It was an extremely productive process for Uşak University students in terms of professional awareness, conscious citizenship, and interest in public service.”
Strengthened Participation Through Institutional Collaboration
During the project process, work was carried out in coordination with the Public Administration Society Academic Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fulya Akyıldız and relevant public institutions.
