Students once again said ‘’Uşak University‘’

Uşak University has achieved a great success by reaching 100 percent occupancy rate according to the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) placement results. Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş stated that the university has achieved quality standards in education and has raised the bar of success every year and stated that they have registered their success with 100% preference rate.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş said, ‘While the occupancy rate of our faculties was 75 percent in the 2018 - 2019 academic year, this rate increased to 99 percent in the 2024 - 2025 period, and while the occupancy rate of our associate degree programmes was 92 percent in the 2018 - 2019 academic year, this rate increased to 103 percent in 2024 - 2025. While the general occupancy rate of our university in 2018-2019 was 81 per cent, this rate was 100 per cent this year. This year, 5 thousand 22 students settled in our university. The one hundred per cent preference rate also reveals the success and strength of our university, ‘he said.

Stating that Uşak University has come a long way in a short time, Rector Prof. Dr. Savaş said, ‘Uşak University is among the distinguished universities that are entitled to receive “Institutional Accreditation” within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Programme (KAP) implemented by YÖKAK in order to increase the quality of higher education institutions and contribute to quality assurance. Our 12 departments/programmes are also accredited. Our other programmes are also working to become accredited. Our student-oriented, quality-registered university, which contributes to regional development, continues on its way with confident steps.’

Registration will start on 19 August

Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş said that candidates who are entitled to enroll in a programme according to the results of YKS can register electronically via the e-government gate (www.turkiye.gov.tr) between 19 - 21 August 2024 and gave the following information about the registration process: ‘Students who are placed in programmes that accept electronic registration are required to register electronically. Students who register electronically do not need to come to our University for registration. No documents will be requested from our students who register electronically. Candidates who will register electronically are kindly requested to follow the instructions of YÖK Presidency. Candidates who will not be able to register electronically will not be able to register electronically for programmes that take students with special talent exams, programmes that require a health report, height and weight index measurement in the application requirements and programmes that have special requirements for registration. The registrations of students in this situation will be made between 19 August - 23 August 2024 at the addresses specified in the YKS Placement Document and on the specified dates.’
