The panel "Turkey-European Union Relations with Different Dimensions in the 100th Anniversary of the Republic" was conducted with the co-organization of the Uşak University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations and the Public Administration Community.

Moderated by Dr. Pınar Çağlayan, the panel took place at Uşak University Mustafa Kemal Paşa Auditorium.
Dokuz Eylül University European Studies Application and Research Center Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çetin made a presentation on "Elements and Variations Affecting the Perception of the West in Turkey". In his presentation, he touched upon topics such as Ottoman - Western relations, the influence of the Ottoman Empire on capitalism, the role of the Ottoman Empire in the balance policy that started in Europe, and modernization movements in the Ottoman Empire.
Speaking on the "Economic Dimension of Turkey-EU Relations", Prof. Dr. Burçak Müge Vural, Director of the European Studies Application and Research Center at Dokuz Eylül University, explained how the European Union was formed in the new international system established after World War II and Turkey's economic relations with the European Union. Explaining Turkey's important trade patterns with the European Union and emphasizing that Turkey is an important trade partner for Europe, Prof. Dr. Vural talked about the Customs Union and the need to restructure this agreement.
The presentation titled "The Place of the European Union in Turkish Foreign Policy" was made by Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of International Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrem Aşkar Karakır. In her speech, she explained Turkey's political relations with the European Union from a general perspective. Referring to the turning points and obstacles in bilateral relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrem Aşkar stated that although there are obstacles in Turkey-EU relations today, there are still opportunities for collaborations.
After the question and answer session, the panel ended with the presentation of a Plaque and Certificate of Appreciation to the guests by Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Taş, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
