The Blaundos Workshop, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Uşak Governorship, Uşak University and Uşak Municipality, was held at the Uşak Museum Conference Hall. The Blaundos Workshop, attended by Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, Governor of Uşak Dr. Turan Ergün, the provincial protocol and the guests, was held in memory of Onur Ercan Erdoğan, who lost his life in the earthquake on February 6, 2023. 
Blaundos Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Birol Can, who opened the workshop that brought together scientists from different universities and different disciplines, gave information about the ancient city of Blaundos and the excavations in the city.

Stating that the basic duties of universities are not only to provide education, Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş said, “In addition to education, developing university-industry cooperation and developing projects that will produce solutions to the problems of the city and region are among the basic duties of universities. One of these projects is the excavations we have done in the ancient city of Blaundos. Uşak is a city of historical importance that has hosted many civilizations. As a university, we are aware of what we need to do to protect and reveal our cultural heritage. As Uşak University, we are working to increase the quality of education and training, to develop university-industry cooperation on the one hand, and to raise the cultural structure of our city on the other hand.”.

Underlining that Uşak hosts many historical sites, Uşak Governor Dr. Turan Ergün also talked about the importance of historical buildings in the region, especially the ancient city of Blaundos.

In memory of Onur Ercan Erdoğan, who took part in the Blaundos excavations in 2022, Isparta Yalvaç Pisidia Antiocia Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özhanlı made a presentation titled "ONUR".

After the speeches, certificates of participation were given to those who contributed to the workshop and a group photo was taken. In the workshop, which took place in 4 sessions, experts from Turkey and different parts of the world evaluated the last 5 years of the Blaundos excavations.
