As a result of the academic and cultural relations developed between Teikyo University and Uşak University in recent years, Teikyo University hosted one faculty member and eight students from Uşak University on 12 - 17 December 2022 with the support of Sakura Scientific Exchange Program from Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

This mobility, which was carried out by 2 undergraduate, 5 master's and 1 doctoral students from the field of engineering under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Bengi Hakgüder Taze, vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering and lecturer of the Department of Food Engineering, enabled academic and cultural exchange.

As part of the program, Teikyo University and Uşak University delegations visited the Turkish Embassy in Tokyo and exchanged ideas on developing cooperation between Turkish and Japanese universities with Ambassador Korkut Güngen.

Our students participating in the program had the opportunity to observe and practice various laboratory and workshop activities on site, as well as to participate in activities related to Japanese culture. Both Teikyo University students and Uşak University students made presentations on their work in the field of engineering and exchanged ideas with each other.

On the last day of the five-day program, Dean Masayuki Arai and Vice Dean Bengi Hakgüder Taze stated that the program was very productive and thanked everyone who supported the program. In addition, the certificates of the students who participated in the program were presented by Prof. Masayuki Arai, Dean of Teikyo University Faculty of Engineering.
