The Certificate Delivery Ceremony of First Aid Training organized by Uşak University Occupational Health and Safety Coordination was held. In the ceremony attended by personnel from different units of the university, certificates were given to first aiders who will take part in emergencies.

Speaking at the ceremony that started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, Uşak University Secretary General Bülent Şahin touched on the vital importance of first aid training for public employees and thanked everyone who contributed to the implementation of this comprehensive study.

Ramazan Şahin, Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, emphasized the importance of occupational health and safety practices in terms of employee health, productivity and legal compliance in his speech. Şahin stated that the training of personnel registered with the Social Security Institution (SGK) in this field is a valuable step in closing the institutional gap.

At the ceremony, a comprehensive presentation was made by the University's Occupational Health and Safety Specialist and Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences lecturer Dr. Fatma Akpolat. Lecturer Dr. Akpolat shared the details of the training, which was carried out in an accelerated manner between August 2024 and January 2025. While sharing public service announcements about the 112 Emergency Aid and Zipper system in order to increase social awareness, Dr. Fatma Akpolat provided information about first aid, emergency response processes, legal obligations and explained the use of the update trainings defined on isguzem.usak.edu.tr for the first aid personnel.

In addition, at the ceremony, General Secretary Bülent Şahin presented plaques to the academicians who contributed to the training, Dr. Lecturer Hilal Adil, Lecturer Hüsamettin Yüce Doğan, Lecturer Hatice Sağcan.

In the program where 195 first aid personnel received certificates, QR-coded identity documents were also given to the participants.
