The “Say Hello to Your Design-2025” social responsibility project, carried out with the contributions of Uşak University, Uşak Provincial Directorate of National Education and volunteer students, has started.
Various activities were organized within the scope of the project aiming to introduce primary school students to design.

The project, which has been implemented in previous years, is carried out this year in cooperation with Uşak University Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Vocational School of Civil Aviation, Energy, Environment and Sustainability Application and Research Center, Carpet Application and Research Center, Leather, Textile and Ceramic Application and Research Center, Craft to Art Student Community, Uşak Provincial Directorate of National Education R&D unit, Banaz Şehit Edip Aybey Ahat Primary School and Hasan Hilmi Primary School. The project is also supported by the Uşak Quality and Promotion Foundation.

The project aims to improve students' motor skills, raise design awareness, raise awareness on energy saving and introduce them to vocational training. Among the activities organized in this direction are the following: “Design Your Own, Fold Your Own” origami activity, ‘Design Your Own and Wear Your Own’ jewelry design, ‘Design Your Own, Let's Make Your Own’ toy design, ‘Say Hello to Energy Saving’ awareness-raising activity, ‘Choose Your Own, Let's Paint Your Own’ face painting activity, ‘Say Hello to Communication with Children’ communication activity, ‘Design Your Own, Weave Your Own’ carpet and rug weaving training.

These events were held at Banaz Şehit Edip Aybey Ahat Primary School on April 25, 2025 and Hasan Hilmi Primary School on April 29, 2025. During the events, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şahin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şahin, Dr. Lecturer Gülhan Pınarlık, Lect. Assist. Gökhan Yıldırım, Lecturer. Assist. Alev Yıldırım and Lecturer. Assist. Zübeyde Kaya, as well as 15 volunteer students.
Uşak University students, who voluntarily participated in the project, stated that the activities were very valuable for both children and themselves. The students stated that contributing to the society and witnessing the happiness of children gave them great moral satisfaction.
