Within the scope of the bilateral cooperation protocol between Uşak University and Somalia Mogadishu University, Somalia Mogadishu University Rector Dr. İbrahim Mohamed Mursal and the accompanying delegation visited Uşak University.

Dr. İbrahim Mohamed Mursal, Rector of Somalia Mogadishu University, visited Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş in his office, met with academicians and Somali students studying at our university, and made a tour of Bir Eylül Campus.

In the meeting attended by the deans of faculties, directors of vocational schools and research centers in Uşak University Senate room, Rector Prof. Dr. Savaş explained to Rector Mursal and the accompanying delegation the general structure of Uşak University and the opportunities it offers to students. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş also talked about the academic studies and the world rankings of Uşak University and drew attention to the importance that Uşak University attaches to internationalization.

The Rector of Mogadishu University Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Mursal, who expressed his happiness to be at Uşak University and thanked Rector Savaş for his invitation, explained the importance of Turkey for Somalia. In his speech, Dr. Mursal gave information about the University of Mogadishu and said that he believes that there will be excellent cooperation between the two universities both in terms of student exchange and joint projects.

After the meeting, Rector Savaş and Rector Mursal came together with the Somali students studying at Uşak University and chatted for a while.

After the meeting with the students, Somali Mogadishu University Rector Dr. İbrahim Mohamed Mursal and the accompanying delegation visited Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center, Leather Textile and Ceramic Design and Application Center, Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Library, Faculty of Sports Sciences, sports facilities of our university and Faculty of Dentistry and were informed about the studies.

During the visit, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Kenan Taş and Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Gürcüoğlu, Uşak University International Relations General Coordinator Dr. R. Nalan Ayvazoğlu, Mevlana and Farabi Program Coordinator Dr. Tolga Kargın, International Student Coordinator Dr. Hakan Selvi, Somalia Mogadishu University International Relations Coordinator Dr. Daud Ali Aser and Mogadishu University Turkey representative Abdırahman Sheikhomar Hassan were present.
