Uşak University Leather, Textile and Ceramics (DTS) Design Application and Research Center signed a cooperation with HAVELSAN. DTS Design Center, which previously prepared the personnel clothes and technical specifications of 112 Emergency Health Services, National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), Post and Telegraph Organization (PTT) and General Directorate of Forestry, is now at HAVELSAN's TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival 2023. He prepared the pattern designs and specifications of the t-shirts he will use in Turkey.

Noting that the Uşak University DTS Design Center, which is a first in Turkey, carries out national and international design studies, Rector Prof. Dr. Savaş said, “Our DTS Design Center has realized important collaborations in a very short time. He collaborated with important companies and universities both in the country and abroad. Now, HAVELSAN, which was established as a company of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, has prepared the pattern designs and specifications for the t-shirts that will be used at the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival 2023. DTS Design Center academic designers worked on more than 100 pattern designs and critiques in line with the company's requests and analyzes. At the end of the study, our DTS Design Team prepared a specification with 31 unique t-shirt pattern designs and 124 different variants specifically for HAVELSAN.”

Uşak University signed designs will be used at TEKNOFEST 2023

Stating that the designs of Uşak University DTS Design Application and Research Center are coming to the fore more and more every day, Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş continued his words as follows: “The t-shirts designed by our DTS Design Center for HAVELSAN are supported by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and T.C. It is a special pleasure that it will be used in the organization of TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival 2023, which will be held under the leadership of HAVELSAN, with the support of Turkey's leading technology companies, public, media organizations and universities, under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The use of t-shirts designed by our university in a festival where the development of Turkish industry and technology is exhibited to the whole world is important in terms of the point the Turkish design industry has reached. The designs of Uşak University DTS Design Center have come to a point where they compete with the examples in the world. This is another source of pride for Uşak University.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş added that new designs will be presented with different projects that continue to work with HAVELSAN after the project has started the production phase.
