Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş and Uşak University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Coordinator Lect. See. Dr. Atike İnce Assistant, Assistant Coordinator Lect. See. Fatih Yalçın and Alumni Office and Career Development Coordinator Lect. See. Doğan Hatun visited two important companies of Uşak and our country, Muratbey Gıda and Merinos – Özerdem Mensucat.
During the visits, the internship and employment of Uşak University students in both companies were discussed, which are also the participants of the US-TECH Qualified Employment Center Protocol, whose executive is Uşak University. During the visits, in which opinions were exchanged about the applied training program called 7+1 and 3+1 - Vocational Education in Businesses (IME) implemented by Uşak University, and in this context, the students' adaptation to working life, it was emphasized that the IME program is important in that it both enables students to gain experience in transition to working life and enables firms to recognize and employ them.

During the first visit, Muratbey Gıda Factory Manager Salih Kara and Factory Assistant Manager Musa Kara conveyed the importance of R&D and innovation in production, and in this context, the company's efforts to localize machinery and technology development.

In the second visit, Merinos – Özerdem Mensucat Company Board Member Zeyrek Özmercan and Finance Manager Erol Taşdelen talked about the textile industry and its problems. Also during the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş thanked the firm for the support of university students and presented a certificate of appreciation on behalf of our university.
