At Uşak University, the "Mini World Cup Football Tournament" was organized between 22-30 December 2022 by the International Students Office, the Department of Health, Culture and Sports and the International Students Society.

Teams of students from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Palestine, Iraq, Mali, Egypt, Somalia, Syria, Turkmenistan and Yemen participated in the tournament. The competitive tournament also witnessed colorful images. Syrian Students Football Team became the champion of the tournament and the Yemeni Students Football Team came 2nd and Somali Students Football Team came 3rd.

International Students Office Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Ferhat Karaman said "This tournament and events like this, while ensuring the international students at our university mingle with each other, increase their sense of belonging to the university. Thanks to the event held before the finals, our students had fun and relieved their stress."

Stating that they will continue to organize such events, Dr. Karaman thanked Instructor Dr. Serdar Sever, the Vice Coordinator of the International Students Office and Academic Advisor of the International Students Society, and Erol Tosun, Branch Manager of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, for their contribution to the organization of the tournament.
